Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the postgraduate theses published between the years 2020-2022 in the field of STEM education in Turkey in terms of various variables and to present a general summary of the studies in the field of STEM education in Turkey. For this purpose, 53 postgraduate theses published in Turkey in the last three years and with STEM education in their keywords were examined. The study was carried out with a qualitative approach and document analysis method was used. While analyzing the content, the variables of the year, approach, design, sample and data collection tool of the study were examined. According to this situation, it has been seen that the most studies in the field of STEM education were done in 2020 and the number of theses published is decreasing day by day. It has been observed that the number of postgraduate theses in which mixed approach is used has increased and the most survey method is used in the quantitative approach. It was observed that students were mostly used as participants in the studies. As a data collection tool, the interview technique was used the most. As a result of the study, it was seen that STEM education is a popular topic for Turkey, but there is a slight decrease in the number of studies.
